Epson PP-100II overview

  • 1Description

Enabling fast and reliable CD/DVD production, the Epson PP-100II Discproducer features a USB 3.0 SuperSpeed interface and publishes 30 CDs/15 DVDs per hour (40/12x speed, 0.6/3.8GB data respectively), including printing on the disc surface. Production runs of 100 DVD-R DL x 8.5GB can be left to complete unattended, thanks to the fully automated operation, the CD/DVD drives (Pioneer PR1 series) that provide high accuracy, and the AcuGrip robotic arm, which ensures only one disc is grabbed at a time.

The PP-100II’s maintenance cartridge and CD/DVD drives can be replaced by the user to extend its working lifespan to far more than 70,000 discs. The 6-cartridge individual ink system keeps the cost-per-produced-disc low.

Easy to use and integrate into virtually any environment, the PP-100II is operated from the front, and allows easy monitoring of ink levels for each color. As it is compact and fully stackable, the Discproducer also has valuable space-saving benefits for organizations with large-scale disc publishing needs. The Total Disc Maker software is included, which provides advanced functions such as the read back file location tool, for filename or content backup from a stack of up to 50 discs. The merge print feature automatically burns and prints individual content onto each disc surface, thereby enabling easy batch production.

    Epson PP-100II reviews

PP-100II Discproducer is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Product I currently use the Discproducer for making copies of DVDs and CDs that are previously recorded meetings, events, etc. This is one of the nicest duplication units I have ever used. The setup is simple. The software is easy to use, and the quality of the discs I copy is exceptional. I would definitely buy this product again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Depends on how you want to use it 3-5 stars... From our standpoint, this thing IS working for us, but not how we originally intended or thought it would work. It is running right now, and it does the job pretty nicely. We have about 1,000 DVD videos that we need to create on demand. The hopes were to use what Epson calls the TD Bridge software to automate the process. A very simple kind of API. All we wanted to do was automatically send the ISO video and the .jpg disc art to the device and have it duplicate that way. Well we quickly learned that ISO is not a format that they recognize. They will ONLY recognize the VIDEO_TS folder format. Surprising because the ISO format is recognized on just about every type of burner I've ever seen. Manual and automatic. Heck you can even play an ISO like a video. But not with this machine. So we batch converted the 1,000 ISOs to break them down to the VIDEO_TS folder and that's fine. It works. But the image puzzle we have not been able to figure out. Using the Total Disc Maker (the manual method), you simply put the background image in and everything is fine. With TD Bridge, there doesn't seem to be a way to do it. We read the docs over and over, tried everything we can think of and all we get is a solid black printed disc. I appreciated the fact that there WAS human product support, but unfortunately they are pretty useless. And when it comes to TD Bridge, they tell you to talk to your developer (we are the developer). The documentation is wrong or the thing can't print discs using TD Bridge. But all in all, the device works pretty nicely. I've already run about 200 discs through it. It made one bad one disc (and printed it as bad!). The printer is quick and the very best part is that this thing holds a ton of ink. The status still estimates enough ink for 1,000 or more discs. After 200. That is a major plus. This isn't one of those disposable type cheap printers to get you to buy expensive ink. 5 starts if using Total Disc Maker, 1 if using TD Bridge w/jpeg

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for Me !!!!!!!!!! The Discmaker software provided will only take video file in VIDEO_TS format. Won't take files direct from camera. Won't take files from Sony Vegas editing software. You must buy a format converting software make this machine work.
