2TB DT01ACA200 7200 rpm SATA III 3.5" Internal Hard Drive is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Size for Windows 7 machines. It took a while to set up as no instructions came with it, and since my last HD install was an IDE type on a Windows XP machine, I had to do a little sleuthing on Google to brush up on some forgotten skills. It turns out that depending on the size of the drive, you have to do different formatting with what O/S you are using. In my case, 2 TB was the upper limit for Win 7 to use the NTFS file system, and the process I used after installing the drive was to type in the search/run window diskmgmt.msc - if the drive doesn't show up with a drive letter, you will have to right click on it, create a volume (partition the drive) I did two equal logical drives and format each one, not the quick format(remove the check mark in the box next to quick format). It will take hours to format each partition, but after it's done you should have full use of the drive. Some Seagate drives come with a disk wizard CD or you may need to download it from their site, making it easier to install. I've had good luck with Toshiba drives in the past though, and since I'm using it to store thousands of photographs, that thought was paramount in my mind.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from adequate storage, reasonable speed, easy install, fair price I use this drive for initial storage and processing the HD video I record everyday of the bay I live on as well as storage and processing the multi-track (14) audio recordings done in my home/studio. It is working excellent with no issue to report. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it's NEW! and the test of a harddrive is longevity. We'll see how that turns out in time . . .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good I ordered this as a replacement for another failed drive. Easily installed, formatted, and data restored. To date, it is working as it should. What I want to give two thumbs up to is the speed in which B&H responded by filling and shipping the order. Man it was fast. Awesome there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Large Capacity at a Good Price I bought this drive as a cold spare for my Pegasus2 storage system. The price was very good for the capacity. Because it is a spare it will sit on my shelf and will be used only if there is a drive failure in my Pegasus2 unit.
