Sculpt Comfort Mouse is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 46.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent Mouse Purchased this mouse for my laptop. It is a little big to be a travel mouse but definitely much more comfortable than an actual travel mouse. The windows button brings you to the start screen or the desktop and you can also swipe up and down, left and right, to access some shortcuts like recent apps/programs. I've had some issues with bluetooth connectivity but I think that is due to Windows 8.1 and should be fixed with an update. The tracking is great, works on every surface I have thrown at it so far. If you have a windows 8 computer and don't mind the size of this mouse, you will definitely like it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Mouse I purchased the Microsoft Sculpt Comfort when I found that my new work laptop does not have an impressive touch pad. Initially I just wanted to go for an inexpensive Bluetooth mouse. A quick search revealed that I could preserve a USB port with the offering from Microsoft. It is slightly expensive for a mouse but I could use a B&H coupon that brought the effective price down to $5!True to its name, the mouse has a very comfortable grip - it is almost a pleasure to hold it. The build quality is good too if you are not bothered by its glossy surface catching fingerprints. Accuracy is very good especially when working with Excel. It also works well on different surfaces wooden desk, white/color paper, cloth. Once you get used to the Windows button, you will find it easier to access the Start menu. The swipe up and down on the blue button only works on browsers (Windows 7). So I dont think the button should drive your decision to buy it. Setting it up was a breeze and it reconnects in no time when I switch the laptop on. Be sure, however, that your laptop has Bluetooth. It does become a tad heavy once you put the two batteries in. If we go by the definition that a good mouse is one that least we notice, the MS Sculpt Comfort mouse will not disappoint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Microsoft mouse but works fine with a Mac The box and literature do not mention compatibility with the Mac operating system, but this mouse works fine with my 2013 Macbook Pro, and has the advantage of not wasting a USB port.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the Surface Pro 2 Since I use my Surface mainly as a laptop it is nice to have a wireless mouse, but not at the expense of the one USB port. With this mouse I can connect via bluetooth so I can continue to use my USB port for other purposes. The mouse works great with Windows 8 and is just as good as a standard wireless mouse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big Winner! I love this mouse! I wanted a Bluetooth mouse to use with my new laptop (which has built-in Bluetooth), rather than a wireless mouse, because I didn't want to tie up a USB port with a wireless dongle. The Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse was easy to set up and even included Duracell batteries! It connects quicker than a previous Bluetooth mouse I used with an older laptop. (However, that laptop used a Bluetooth dongle, which might have been the reason for the slower connection with that mouse.) This mouse connects nearly as quickly as the MS Wireless 6000, which connects instantaneously. I use the MS Wireless 6000 mouse for my other laptop, and I've grown accustomed to its convenient left- and right-side buttons that can be used navigate between browser pages. At first, I was somewhat dissatisfied that this new mouse couldn't do that. Actually, it has a nifty swipe pad on the left side that (with a little practice) lets me go back (and forth) between web pages just as easily as with the 6000. The swipe pad isn't right under my thumb, as was the left-side button on the 6000, but it's just a half-inch away and easy to get used to. Although it's bigger (and heavier) than most mice, which might deter travelers and folks with small hands, it fits comfortably in my (average) hand, now that I have used the mouse for awhile. I use my new laptop mainly for entertainment (music and photo editing, online streaming, etc.). I prefer a mouse to the touchpad because I like to leave my arm resting on the arm of the recliner. This mouse is perfect because it performs all of the tasks required by my music-editing, and it works flawlessly on the arm of my recliner. Overall, I'm very pleased with the Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse and highly recommend it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This mouse has a connectivity issue on Windows 10 I tried to discover a way to manage it on my upgraded PC to Win 10 and have found many comments online about this issue. On Windows 10, some PCs recognize this device as a Bluetoothdevice but not as a mice, which makes this unusable. I spent over 4 hours and tried many options but gave up. However, MS Surface notebook I own has a perfect connection. There is clearly something wrong, and until MS provides a patch, I have to remind that some Windows 10 PC are not compatible with this device.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No "back" button I mistakenly thought that this mouse allowed you to reprogram the blue button. The default is to open the start menu, but the back button is much more useful. I am disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Avoid strain - use comfort mouse The Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse is longer than most mice and fills the hand nicely. The scroll wheel is shod with a soft, grippy silicone-rubber tire. It uses Bluetooth to communicate with the PC so if your PC has Bluetooh built in, you do not need to use of one of your USB ports with a dongle. Because it is cordless, it uses two AA cells. This makes it heavier than corded mice. Therefore, for this application long-life and lighter lithium AA cells are recommended.
