This gray 3.5" Hard Drive Case is designed to hold both 2.5" and 3.5" bare hard drives. The anti-static, shock-proof case is designed to hold a single 3.5" bare hard drive. Place the insert inside the enclosure and you can then store up to four 2.5" bare hard drives. Once the drives are inserted, the enclosure snaps closed ensuring the drives are protected from dust, wear and tear.

This hard drive case is constructed of PP plastic material injection molding with an external and internal rib design to prevent damaged to the enclosed drives. Along with enhanced construction, each case comes with a label area for easy identification and can be stacked for easy storage.

3.5" / 2.5" Hard Drive Case (Gray) is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy, well-built. Pros:DurableSolid lockingStackingCons:Some fitment issues. See comments.Comments:Some of the newer 3.5 drives are a little thinner than others, and it can cause the drive to be a little loose inside the case. We bought several 2TB and 500GB drives for our backup systems, and the 2TB fit perfectly snug in the cases but the 500GB drives required a little extra padding to keep them from rattling around in the case. Easily solved with a couple of pieces of cardboard from the shipping box. It would be nice for some extra foam cushions or some thicker ones to handle these situations. Did not use with 2.5 drives, so no idea about fitment with those.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Non-recyclable Plastic and Wasteful Insert The case is made of non-recyclable plastic with no material icon or identifier. This is not acceptable as they will go eventually straight into the landfill. Additionally, if you are only going to be using 3.5 drives, you will throw away the substantial plastic 2.5 drive rack inside each unit, which is also non-recyclable and unmarked. The case itself is as-described, but there is a slight amount of movement inside the case. I do however, think that the drive would be better off if dropped inside this case than without it. I will keep looking for a light padded, recyclable sleeve of some kind...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have I have many SSD drives that I take to the locations and the case works perfect, I can store 4 in one case. There is no price to protect your footage. Go cheap, go crazy! It's your work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great addition Very simple product, yet necessary. I recently moved to a Thermaltake BlacX SATA drive interface as part of a more comprehensive media backup plan. So I acquired a stack of raw drives. The Xcellon case allows me to safely store these and it's stackable with a label on either end. drives remain accessible but are safe and secure when not in use.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 2.5 to 3.5 hard drive conversion case This is a cheap plastic case. It did not allow me to install the drive in the proper configuration. Needed to rotate the drive 90 degrees. It has no way to positively mount the drive. The drive just drop in and floats. The only positive is the price... it is so cheap I did not even bother to send it back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great way to organize hard drives. Used these cases to archive the old hard drives after upgrading all the pcs and laptops to ssds. The 2.5 inch holder is great but can be a little difficult to wedge the hard drives in them. Other than that they are great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good solution, minor issues A simple, affordable storage solution for protecting bare hard drives in a space-saving orderly fashion. Several reviews mention the loose fit on 3.5 drives; inserting the two dessicant packs provided (or thin cuts of foam) inside the top and one side of case provides a snug fit. It'd be nice if the manufacturer just included a couple extra adhesive foam pads for this purpose. The plastic insert for 2.5 drives is indeed an unnecessary waste if you don't need it but they can be recycled.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Protection, but a bit loose We've used CRU Driveboxes as well. I'd agree with others that the 2.5 drive insert seems a bit wasteful when not used. Occasionally we use these boxes to transport drives between locations. These cases compare well to the CRUs but the Driveboxes SEEMED to hold the drives a bit more securely than these and I'd like to see the fit be a bit more snug. That said I like the way these cases stack much better.Time, and a few drops onto a floor, will tell.
