The Windows 8 Touch Pen Designed for 9" to 17" Laptop or Monitor from Xcellon is a touch pen designed to work with screens from 9 to 17 inches in size and mimics the touch functionality of a standard touch screen display. Simply attach the included IR receiver to the side of the screen and connect it to an available USB port. Once the IR receiver has been installed, configure the pen by holding the pen to the red dot in each corner of the screen until you receive on-screen confirmation the pen has been recognized by the sensor.

The included touch pen features a brush tip and operates with the two included SR41 batteries. After inserting the batteries simply calibrate the pen to the display and begin using your PC running Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 10 in an entirely new way.

Windows 8 Touch Pen Designed for 9" to 17" Laptop or Monitor is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works surprisingly well Using a windows 8 laptop that is not touchscreen can be frustrating at times. Adding this really handy gadget totally changed my Windows 8 experience and now my laptop is really fun to use!! I definitely recommend this product it was pretty easy to set up and works really nicely.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from THis pen actually works ok I was scepticle whether this pen would actually make a non-touchscreen work somewhat like a touchscreen PC. It actually does work. Takes a little getting used to the amount of pressure that needs to be applied (actually very little). Would have given it 5 stars but lack of directions on using the pen causedme to knock it down to 4 stars. Directions for setup are there but nothing on how to use it. Learned by trial and error.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than trackpad Got it very recently for my Windows 8.1 laptop and have only been using it for a few days. Overall my experience has been pretty good. The port on the IR sensor is a mini USB B and there is a slight overhang with the supplied cable since I connect the sensor to a USB on the same side as my laptop. The driver that it came with cannot calibrate this pen at all; I just used the built-in calibration tool. You need to reset the calibration if you want to re-calibrate. The pen is plug-and-play, but you may need to reload any existing browsers to get it working right. I prefer a pretty high resolution, so using the trackpad or trackpoint to move the pointer can be pretty time consuming compared to tapping with the pen. It's also very useful if you don't have enough room to properly use a mouse. Swiping left/right to go back/forward in a web browser is also pretty useful.
