The 5-20x50 Razor HD Riflescope from Vortex combines a high-transmission lens system and weather-sealed 35mm scope tube with target-style MOA turrets and side focus parallax correction to create a versatile optic for intermediate to long-range targeting. Vortex uses an apochromatic objective lens and optically indexed extra-low dispersion (HD) glass elements to maximize the light gathering ability of the optics while minimizing chromatic aberration and preserving clarity. The resulting images are bright and sharp throughout the zoom range.

This Razor HD scope is configured with an EBR-2B reticle in the first focal plane. The Enhanced Battle Reticle (EBR) pattern has a ballistic crosshair centered on heavy posts at three, six, and nine o'clock. MOA-based subtensions on the horizontal and vertical axes assist range and holdover calculation; dotted holdover lines divided in 1 MOA increments help to determine moving target leads and wind drift compensation.

Reticle illumination is controlled using a dedicated wheel on the eyepiece bell. This control wheel is offset to the left side so it doesn't block the shooter's view of the turret settings. The illuminator has eleven brightness settings, and an Off position between each setting allows the shooter to quickly return to their previously used level of illumination without unnecessary cycling through other settings. Fiber optic indicators on the adjustment turrets and eyepiece bell help the shooter maintain awareness of their settings even in low-light conditions.

Complementing the Razor HD's shooter-friendly design and image quality and is the build quality to match. The scope housing is machined from aerospace aluminum, anodized with a corrosion-resistant hard coat, and filled with argon gas to ensure fogproof and waterproof performance. Vortex uses a range of construction features, including machined brass erector tubes and steel pad floats for friction reduction, to reduce mechanical wear and maintain the scope's reliability. Exposed lens surfaced are finished with ArmorTek, Vortex's proprietary scratch-resistant coating that also repels moisture and dirt.

Included with the 5-20x50 Razor HD is a flip-up objective cover that has a built-in killFLASH anti-reflection device that helps to conceal the shooter's position by preventing light from reflecting off the objective lens. This scope also comes with a 4" sunshade, bubble level, and it is backed by Vortex's lifetime warranty.

5-20x50 Razor HD Riflescope (EBR-2B, 25 MOA) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Performance at Reasonable Cost... Used this scope on my custom built 6.5x284 while attended the Whittington Center's Precision Long Range 1 Class. We shot across a mountain valley with shifting winds. Toward the end of three day class, I was able to set a new class benchmark of nine continuous hits on a 2'x2' steel plate at 1200 yards. Wind blew me off on the 10 shot but, with the Razor, I was able to spot the impact point about 2-3" right of the steel in the dust. The glass is quite good and more important, reticle movement is repeatable and precise. The amount of internal adjustment is outstanding. Eye relief is somewhat critical but, it seems to be that way in higher power scopes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbelievable optic Got the Razor HD about a month ago for a 6.5 Creedmoor and finally had a chance to take it out...unbelievable, its like looking into another world...the turrets are perfect, each click is well defined so you arent guessing if you dialed the right windage or elevation...the illumination on the reticle is amazing and it just looks awesome sitting on top of my rifle...i purchased the precision matched rings with it and im really glad that i did...all in all this is the best scope ive ever bought or used...i see another one in my future for a different rifle i plan to buy later this year...Vortex just keeps coming with the hits and i hope they always do...in my opinion, better than any Nightforce ive used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic scope and still one of my favorites! This scope is one of my favorite for long-range shooting! It has one of my favorite reticles, easy to set up zero stop, nice crisp and audible turrets, and the clarity, depth of field, contrast, and lack of chromatic aberration make it a great all around scope. I've used it for hunting, long range practice at the range, and the 20X top end magnification and huge amount of elevation adjustment makes it perfect for really stretching out those shots! I've owned two of these now (moa and mrad versions) and I wouldn't hesitate to buy a third.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great scope. I bought this scope about 1 year ago. I currently have it mounted to a 5R in .308... It's an awesome scope in my opinion. Heavy duty construction. Repeatable turrets w/ obvious clicks. Holds zero no matter how many times I spin it up and down. I took it to montana in October 2016 and camped in the mountains for 2 weeks.. No matter what the weather conditions were, the glass was very clear. In my opinion it's easily comparable to Nightforce. I plan on buying the Gen 2 this year. Would recommend to a friend. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic I actually own this optic and have been running it on my 308 for 3 years now, I love how crystal clear the glass is l, especially in low light from 100 to 1000 yards. It's literally changed the way I can shoot! Just adjust the parallax which is easy to find and dial your elevation, adjust for wind which is super easy with the ebr2 reticle and gently squeeze and listen for the sound of the steel ring, but no really if you want an optic as good as the top of the line for 2/3 the price then this is your scope! Tons of windage adjustment as well. 5 stars for sure

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfection This scope has everything I could want. I bought this model before the gen2 was around. I questioned if I would want to "upgrade" when it released. No need to change. I do love the gen 2 that some of my PRS friends run on their rifles, but the Gen 1 gets it done. I actually like the high turret on this scope. It helps me to make fast adjustments gripping the top of the turret without covering up the numbers and get a good grip on the turret in bad conditions. Also the 35mm tube with 128moa adjustment allows you to have some fun well past a mile!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much my favorite scope that I have two! I picked up my first one of these a couple years ago and used it on a Ruger Percision rifle and 6.5 Creedmoor. It was an incredible scope on that rifle and now lives on a custom 6mm Creedmoor with a second my 308. It has been one of Vortex’s flagship scopes for a long time and it remains the standard by which many scopes are measured against in my personal opinion. The elevation that is available in the knobs, especially with the 10 mil turrets, easily get you to 1000 yards and beyond. Optical clarity, return to zero, ease to zero the scope, user adjustable to their preference zero stop and a very durable while remaining lighter weight than most scopes in its class equates to a an arguable do everything scope. I have two of these and can guarantee you that I will have a third .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of features, great glass This is a great scope. I shoot local precision rifle matches and I would choose this scope over many of the others I see used. The dials are accurate and repeat well. The zero stop is easy to set and makes sure I don't have to worry too much about dialing back to zero. There is enough zoom to see the targets past 1000 yards but the glass is clear enough I only use 5x-10x except for the longest shots I take.
