Vortex DBK-60S1 overview

  • 1Description

The straight viewing 20-60x60 Diamondback Spotting Scope from Vortex features specialized optical coatings to provide bright and clear images, while utilizing a relatively small objective lens. All air-to-glass surfaces have Vortex's XR anti-reflective coatings to minimize light loss. Additionally, they are ArmorTek coated for scratch resistance. To ensure accurate color across the entire visible spectrum, the Porro prisms are dielectric coated. These coatings are highly reflective and lose less than 1% of the light that passes through them. The use of Porro prisms creates an improved depth of view over roof prisms. This combination of coatings and optics creates a spotting scope that produces bright, clear, highly contrasted images with accurate color transmission.

The high-impact-resistant fiberglass-reinforced polymer body is O-ring sealed and nitrogen filled to be water and fogproof. A dual focus system features a coarse fast-focus and a fine-focus wheel. The scope has a tripod mounting shoe with a 1/4"-20 threaded mount. For comfort and convenience, the tripod collar rotates to permit the eyepiece to be put in the best viewing position. A retractable lens shade keeps the Sun or rain off the objective lens.

    Vortex DBK-60S1 reviews

20-60x60 Diamondback Spotting Scope (Straight Viewing) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crystal clear ! I bought my Vortex a couple months ago and used it for the first time on an Ibex hunt in the Florida Mountains in Southern New Mexico. It was so fun watching the Ibex from 1-2 miles away! Through my Diamondback i could definitely pick out the big rams from the smaller ones. Anyone who has been on this hunt knows you need good glass as it is so difficult even getting to the mountain! I loved my spotter and it was definitely better than my friends spotter which was a different brand but at a comparable price. I think Vortex is very superior to many other brands and very affordable!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Three Bears scope! This is probably the three bear scope. Not too big Not too small. Not too heavy not too light. Not too expensive not too cheap. It's just right. This scope is easy to focus and easy to zoom in. I have been using it to look at birds. I live about 50 miles East of Longs Peak. On a clear cold morning, I can see amazing detail on the peak. I know you can't, but you can almost convince yourself that if anyone was climbing, you would be able to see them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality Vortex Product I purchased this spotting scope for hunting deer and elk in Utah. In the high country, you can often find yourself glassing great distances. This scope performs great up to about 45x-50x magnification. After that, it starts to get a bit blurry. If you are glassing shorter distances this scope is excellent! Can't beat the price for the quality. However, if having a crystal clear picture at great distances is important I would look into an HD scope.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the money I got this for my dad as a gift before we head out west this fall. Compared to other spotters in this price range its the best you can get. Its main purpose is going to be on a window mount looking at whitetails within a 1000 yards. And for what he needs it for, its a perfect scope. Great clarity up to about 50x

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great scope I've used this spotting scope in the field for a number of hunts and scouting trips. I've been extremely pleased with the clarity and brightness, even in low light conditions at dawn while looking for elk and deer. It's rugged and easy to use and a great value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny. Bought my Diamondback 20-60x60 Straight spotting scope over a year ago. I am not an impulse buyer so I looked long and hard to get the most for my money. Extremely pleased with the Vortex spotter. Quality glass and American made.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Review Optics are very good, see lots of detail. However not enough eye relief available to use with shooting glasses, so i wasted $400.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No Not as clear as I expected from Vortex, my bushnell binos are much more clear. Wish I would have bought the Bushnell Ultra HD
