Think Tank Photo TurnStyle 10 overview

  • 1Description

The lightweight blue slate TurnStyle 10V1 Sling Camera Bag from Think Tank Photo is water-resistant and holds a DSLR with three lenses and accessories inside interior dividers within the main zippered camera compartment. It also accommodates a small 8" tablet in a dedicated padded zippered exterior pocket at the back of the bag. For holding accessories, there are assorted pockets throughout the sling.

The TurnStyle bag is convertible from a camera sling worn over your shoulder to a photo belt pack worn around your waist. For converting the bag, use the padded strap that detaches from one end via its slip-in clip. This clip can slide into one of two nylon webbed loops. When inserting the clip into the loop on the padded tab at the side, you can wear the bag like a belt pack around your waist. When placing the clip into the loop at the top, you transform your bag into a shoulder sling. The TurnStyle 10V1 can also be carried using a grip handle at the top.

Front pocket with organizer that includes two open slip pockets and a pen slot
Open slip pocket inside the back of the main compartment
Dedicated external zippered padded pocket at the back of the bag holds a mini 7.9" tablet

Easily rotate bag for quick-access when you are wearing it around your shoulder or around your waist

Nylon-webbed zipper-pull tab assists in opening and closing dual-zippered main compartment

Think Tank Photo TurnStyle 10 reviews

TurnStyle 10 V1 Sling Camera Bag (Blue Slate) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just right for Photo Walks The Sling Bag 10 is perfect for a photo walk, especially when you do not want to be too obvious with a DSLR. I carry a Canon 6D with 24-105mm and lens cover attached. There is still some room for a small lens of accessories. Nothing protrudes since the camera fits flat in the bag. It just looks like a normal sling bag that you see everywhere. Quick access to the camera is another prime feature. You simply slide the bag around to your chest and you are ready to shoot. Well thought out bag for times when you do not need a lot of gear of do not need a large padded bag. The light weight padding is ideal.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not Made for a Woman First, the construction of this sling is outstanding. It was perfect for fitting my Nikon D810 and the few items I wanted to carry. There were however three things that I didn't like and I returned the sling. No.#1...the strap across the shoulder didn't sit correctly on my shoulder, but the padding is good. No. #2...The bag itself is a little long for a small person, which I am. So the bottom of the bag rested well below my hip line. No. #3...I couldn't adjust the strap enough to pull the bag off my hips without it cutting across the front of my body. The smaller bag, would not fit my camera body with lens, and the larger one would have been to much. Would I recommend this bag? You bet! It would be great for a larger woman but definitely for men.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Convenient, Secure, Roomy bag for the Road Took my new bag on a hike and it's awesome. I was looking for something secure which would allow me to climb up and down rocks on a hike, with ease of access for my mirrorless equipments but lightweight enough so I can move about freely, and roomier enough to also fit in my regular size iPad air and a few other things while I'm on a trip. This slingbag can't be more perfect, I was able to take the camera out at moments notice by simply spinning the bag to the front. Putting it in as I ventured down and up the rocks and the bag stayed snuggly on me the entire time with no sign of loosening. It is also quite roomy since I have a mirrorless fuji, so it allows me to fit in a few lenses, and even though a full size iPad air with case will not fit in the iPad slot designed for it at the back, it fits perfectly in the large slot behind the camera (with my rather big leather case). And frankly, I feel that is a more reasonable slot for me as I don't plan on carrying large notebooks. Overall, definitely worth the investment! Can't wait to take it on more trips and adventures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid bag, great for mirrorless I got this for my Sony a6500 and it fits perfect. I can carry the camera with an attached lens and 2 extra lenses very comfortably in this bag, along with a few extra batteries, lens cloth, sd card, and a Platypod and filter. Very comfortable to wear and hike with and easy to retrieve the camera. I did have a Canon T5i with several lenses (Tokina 11-16 and 75-300) and while the bag did fit them, it was STUFFED full. you couldn't fit anything else in the bag except maybe a lens cloth and SD card since it was so tightly packed. But if you have a mirrorless camera then you should be fine and will greatly enjoy this bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ideal portable solution for MFT system I can fit my Olympus M5 MkII body with a pancake lens (14mm) AND 2 pro lenses (40-150 2.8 / 12-40 2.8) in the main compartment. Additionally, there is a lot of room available in the outside pocket for small accessories (e.g several filters (cases included), phone, keys, etc). If you want to carry along a hot-shoe flash, I recommend (securely) attaching the flash-case to the outside of the bag using an accessory clip or something of that nature ( the pull handle near the top of the bag is a good location for this ) attaching the hot-shoe case to the exterior of the bag will maximize space inside the bag for other gear. I really like the compact profile of this bag, not to mention is seems very well constructed and very well thought out in terms of overall design. In terms of accessibility, it's super efficient simply swing the bag around your shoulder and it provides enough surface area to support your camera whilst changing out lenses, filters, attaching a flash etc., then simply swing it back around and you're back in business. It truly is a great design in terms of maximizing portability, storage capacity, and accesibility in such a compact profile. It's an ideal solution for the MFT system. If you're using a 35mm system, I would recommend the next size up (20). I have used both backpack style and regular over-the-shoulder style camera bags, and in my opinion this (sling) style provides the most comfort and ease-of-use for purposes requiring maximum mobility and comfort. My only product suggestion would be that it provided actual anchor straps on the exterior of the bag specifically for attaching an external flash case, small accessory bag, compact traveling tripod, etc. but even without that feature, it's still a great bag. highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrific on the go bag Great for day trips when an SLR and two lenses are needed. I carry my 5DmkIII, a 24-105 and 50 mm 1.4. There's quick and easy access and the weight distribution is fine even after several miles of hiking. No real shortcomings. Protection adequate for its purpose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A perfect little bag... I needed a bag to house my essentials while out shooting, as well as having the stability to stay on while riding a bike or hiking. I have never been a fan of the backpack style gear bags, so this was my next option. It is very comfortable, and fits snug, which gives me comfort while out and about. While traveling over the weekend, this bag carried my Canon 6D with 50mm f/1.4 attached, 17-40mm f/4L, and 135mm f/2L, as well as an extra battery, lens pen, and a few extras. If you are looking to carry a 70-200, you can probably fit it, but with not much else. Typically the above listed is all I ever carry, especially when traveling. Bottom line is if you are looking for a sporty bag with sufficient room, this is it. I believe they make one a size bigger, but after using this I am not sure if it is needed. Think Tank products are very well built, and this bag does not differ. I expect this to last many years. Not the most attractive bag, but that's what I have a Domke for. This is worth the money!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well, easy to carry and access. Easily carries Sony A7RII with 70-200 F4 attached along with extra batteries, memory cards etc. Comfortable to sling style and quick/easy access to bag. Overall a nice addition to my bag collection.
