The Sony EVI-D100 is a remote controlled Pan/Tilt/Zoom video camera that is compact and easy to use. The advanced CCD combined with a smooth and quiet pan and tilt mechanism give high quality and convenient video production for remote conferencing, remote education, training, surveillance, and webcasting. Additional advantages are provided by easy to use presets, daisy-chaining capability and various picture effects.
High Speed and Wide Range Pan and Tilt
The camera offers a pan range of +/- 100 degrees and maximum pan speed of 300 degrees per second. Tilt angle ranges +/- 25 degrees and maximum tilt speed 125 degrees per second. Because the camera uses a gearless mechanism, the result is a drastic reduction in motor interference compared to conventional models.
10 x Optical Zoom
The EVI-D100 incorporates a high quality 10 times zoom lens that, at its widest, offers 65 degrees of horizontal view. For even greater close-up images, the camera also has a 4x digital zoom feature.
Six Pre-Set Positions
The user may store up to 6 predetermined positions of the pan/tilt/zoom/focus for instant recall. The presets also include picture parameters like white balance and exposure features. A battery backup system insures the presets remain in memory even when the camera is powered down.
The EVI-D100 has the ability to render special effect images for a variety of production requirements. The special picture effects include mirror image, still image, pastel, negative/positive reversal, and high contrast.
The camera uses the industry standard RS-232C control protocol. The interface on the camera is an 8-pin that uses VISCA software. All the camera and pan/tilt settings can be controlled by a personal computer.
