Behringer HA400 Reviews

MicroAMP HA-400 - Headphone Amplifier is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 77.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple Headphone Amplifier at a Great Price As a beginner podcaster I didn't want to spend a fortune. This amplifier fits the bill. It's small and wasn't expensive. It comes with an AC plug but you have to provide the audio out/headphone cable that comes from either your mixer, recorder, or computer into the amplifier. The input is not the small headphone mini audio stereo cable. It's the wider headphone cable. Also, every headphone that's plugged into this amplifier is also the wider cable (1/4) so if your headphones are the mini you need an adapter. This wasn't an essential item for my beginning podcasting kit but this amplifier makes it such a small investment that I think it's worth it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but not enough power for live use The product was as advertised and very easy to use. It was exactly as expected and described. As a low cost alternative, it excelled. However, I need it to be powerful as well to give me adequate monitoring during live performances. I found that when I turned the volume controls beyond where 8 would be, the signal distorted heavily. I tried numerous earbuds but the problem continued. My ears are not the best, but I need more power. I have returned this unit in favor of a higher line Behringer amp.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Things DO come in small packages As someone who is not technically inclined ( about all I can do is plug it in & pray)--this item fits my criteria to a tee. (Plug it in & listen). I needed a unit that would afford guests in my homemade studio--the opportunity to listen to the program they were contributing to without giving up MY headphones and the Headpphone Amplifier does just that (of course the Guests need to supply their own headphones):)--but now I have the unit for which they can plug in & listen--and considering I'm the one who's writing this--that's what it's all about--and yes, the quality is great as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great solution to a simple problem We needed separate volume controls for the headphones my wife and I wear during our podcasts. She needs hers hotter than I like, especially because the volume she prefers really aggravates my tinnitus (too many years as a Top 40 disc jockey). The Behringer HA-400 is inexpensive, sounds clean (better than our former solution, which was a splitter plugged into our mixer's headphone jack), and gives us exactly what we need at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good product - Got tired of using heavy cordless headphones for my TV and needed an amp to boost my corded headphone volume. This amp allows me and my wife to have two seperate volume controls. Great job - We also find that the amp seems to also reduce noise altho this could just be me...and nothing in the spec says that they have noise cancellation. Overall sound clarity has improved tremendously, though.. - If I HAVE to be picky I would say that maybe the volume controls can be less sensitive. Other than that, its hard to find fault with this amp, especially for my use

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Headphone Amplifier I use this product to power pair of head phones using the audio output jack from my laptop. Good amplification and sound quality. The female jacks on the amp are all 1/4 and my laptop as well as my headphones are 35mm so I needed to purchase 1/4 to 3.5mm Male to Female Stereo Adapters for it. It uses external power so even it you're using your laptop on battery, you still need a place to plug in the amplifier.

question

Can I use it for Live Church Service?I want to take the Line Out of my Church Amp and get 4 Outputs to put 4 Powered Speakers around the Hall.
Asked by: Samuel T.
I would not recommend using the HA-400 as a signal splitter as that is not what it was designed to do. For your application, I would recommend the Whirlwind Split 6 line level signal splitter in-stock and available from B&H or a similar device. Depending on the location of the powered speakers, you may encounter some unwanted delay and may have to utilize a line delay device instead of just a splitter.

question

How does this plug in to the audio out from my computer?
Asked by: Anonymous
Using converter from a 1/4 inch to a mini plug, plug the mini plug end end to your computer phones and the other end (1/4 inch plug) into the input of the HA400.
