Eurorack and More with the Pittsburgh Modular Structure 344

0Share

Already a well-known name in the hardware synth game, Pittsburgh Modular offers a slew of synthesizers, controllers, and cases compatible with the popular Eurorack format. With the release of a welcome addition—the Structure 344 Eurorack Studio Command Center—comes a powerful way to integrate oodles of modules and bust out some special tricks in the process! So, what is it? Part desktop Eurorack enclosure, part mixer, part utility box, and part power supply encased in hand-stained hardwood; perhaps beyond ideal for the heart of your Eurorack setup!

Starting with the enclosure, you get 344hp of rack space arranged in four 86 hp rows, and 160 mounting screws for easy installation of the scores of modules you happen to own (or plan to purchase). Edge-to-edge rails and full-row nut strips minimize unsightly dead space around modules. Thanks to two EMI filters on three power rails, the Structure 344 provides clean power—up to five amps of +12V, up to five amps of -12V, and up to three amps of +5V. Plus, the fused power protection, overload and short-circuit protection, and line regulation ensure safe operation even with a shifty power input.

Placed conveniently between the top two and bottom two rows is the highly versatile utility bridge, packed with sought-after functions normally only obtainable via more Eurorack modules. As if its soft-clipping over-drivable preamp and 2-in/4-out unity gain mixer/splitter weren't enough, the Structure 344 features a dual voltage-controlled bus system. Each bus boasts a 3-channel mixer with offset, inversion, breakout channels, and more. You also find six assignable bus outputs and dual buffered cascading attenuators for further expanded routing and signal control.

Whether you're just starting down the Eurorack road or you've already amassed a massive module collection, consider the Structure 344 for your studio or stage setup. Visit our website or stop by the B&H SuperStore to find out more!
