The new 55mm f/1.4 is due to arrive toward the end of the year.
The New Version of the Instagram iOS App
The Instagram app for iOS was updated this week. Version 4.1 adds the ability to import up to 15 seconds of pre-recorded video, and then crop the video to the traditional square Instagram-style aspect ratio. There is also a new feature that will level and straighten imported photos, so you can do things like correcting a crooked horizon.
Software Updates
Nikon released new firmware for the COOLPIX P7100. The update fixes a handful of issues associated with RAW images and the display orientation.
