Taking Ultrabooks to the Next Level

By now, the term Ultrabook has been used time and time again to describe thin lightweight laptops. By definition, an Ultrabook is generally a notebook-style computer measuring around 0.5” thick and weighing around 2 to 3 lb. By using this glass for the 13.3” display found in the Aspire S7-391-6810 Ultrabook, Acer has not only reduced the weight of their computer, they have added durability to the touch screen. While the Aspire S7-391-6810 comes equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 2, the smaller 11.6” Aspire S7-191-6640 comes with a standard display as well as an aluminum lid.

The touch screen does not mean that you can’t still interact with the computer in traditional ways. The integrated touchpad makes for easy navigation throughout your computer while the electroluminescent backlit chiclet style keyboard lights up automatically in low-lit environments, reducing eye strain.

A traditional notebook computer opens up to reveal a display, and usually this display can be manipulated slightly to ensure a comfortable viewing angle. That traditional viewing angle usually only opens to a specific point, thus limiting how far back you can adjust the screen. That is not the case with the 13.3” Acer Aspire S7-391-6810 Ultrabook.
