AdobeMAX and B&H Team Up for Creative Professionals

0Share

How many creatives does it take to change a light bulb? If you work as a creative professional, you know the answer is—it depends. Is the client readily available for meetings? Do you have the right designer? A competent copywriter? Are your post-production needs being met, or do you need to order a boatload of new or outdated equipment? Does the light bulb have a due date attached, or is it okay staying dark until the accountant okays the budget?

In other words, it's complicated.

AdobeMAX, which is the creativity conference for professionals in the creative field, looks to answer these questions and more. The five-day event (two days of pre-conference, and three days of conference) takes place October 16 through October 20, 2017, in Las Vegas, Nevada, and stands as one of the largest confluences of creative minds in the country, if not the world. You'll discover new techniques and boost your career in more than 300 sessions in five areas, including Creative Careers, Graphic, Web and UX Design, Illustration & Creative imaging, Photography and Video.

Keynote speaker Jonathan Adler will kick off the event, and other celebrity speakers like Mark Ronson, Kumail Nanjiani (from the hit series, Silicon Valley), famed photographer Annie Griffiths, and actor/director Jon Favreau will round out the tableau. You will also hear from lead creative minds at Adobe, Refinery 29, IBM, LinkedIn and more.

B&H Photo will be there, as well, showcasing some serious hardware. Turnkey solutions like the Apple Mac Pro with an Eizo Coloredge monitor, Logic keyboard, Apple Magic Mouse 2, and G-Technology's G-SPEED Shuttle XL 60TB 8-Bay Thunderbolt 2 RAID Array with Two ev Bay Adapters will be on display. Or you might want to take a look at a more mobile solution, like the Apple MacBook Pro with a LaCie 2Big Dock or the Apple iPad Pro with Apple Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil.

Looking for something non-Apple? How about a lineup of HP workstations, like the HP Z840 computer with an HP Z31x 31.1" 17:9 DreamColor Studio Cinema 4K IPS Displaymonitor, Logic keyboard, and G-Technology G-RAID 8TB 2-Bay Thunderbolt 2 RAID Array. We'll also have the HP OMEN 870-290 Desktop Computer with the HP 1JR59A8 24" 16:10 DreamColor IPS Monitor, Logic keyboard and HP X3000 wireless mouse.

Also in our booth, we'll be showcasing the new HP Z VR Backpack G1 Workstation, which will run the HTC Vive to give attendees a chance to experience what it's like to design and create art in a 3D environment using the Google TiltBrush software. This software is a great platform for architects, fashion designers, game developers, or any visual creative to design in a unique and personal way. Along with the HP Z VR backpack, we've bundled the HP Omen X 35" 21:9 Curved LCD Gaming Monitor, HP Wireless Elite v2 keyboard, and HP X3000 Wireless mouse.

And to show our respect for those completely ensconced in the Windows microcosm, we will have a fully loaded Microsoft Surface Studio on display, complete with wireless keyboard and Surface Pen.

On many of these computer workstations, we'll be using the Adobe Premiere software, as well as other software, such as Davinci Resolve and RED Cine X, to showcase the power of the computer hardware. We'll be doing this by demonstrating how each workstation can handle different types of professional video content. We have 4K footage shot with RED cinema cameras, as well as the Sony FS5, and HD footage shot with the Canon C300 and Canon 5D Mark III that we will use to show how each computer can process these various video codecs (with their unique characteristics).

For added flexibility in your post-production workflows, we'll also show the Kensington SD5000T Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station, with dual Thunderbolt 3 (USB Type-C) ports, and support for up to 40 Gbps of data and dual 4K video. You can also connect via the DisplayPort, and it provides up to 85W of charging power to charge your laptop.

If you're going to be in Las Vegas for the show, stop by our booth to see our impressive lineup of equipment. We have what all creative professionals need—great products at a competitive price – but we also have expert and professional staff on hand to talk to you about your challenges in post-production processes, and to show you the latest and greatest hardware available. You can also just stop by to say hello and tell us how the show is going for you.
