CES 2015: The Fuhu Nabi Tablet Grows Up

Fuhu, the company behind the innovative Nabi tablet, is adding a few siblings to its tablet family—some very large siblings. While the Nabi is currently available in a variety of smaller form factors, from the 7" nabi Jr to the 24" nabi Big Tab, Fuhu is introducing a 32, 43, 55, and a massive 65-inch model, tentatively called the nabi Big Tab XL.

These new, larger tablets, which could find themselves attached to kitchen or bedroom walls in the same manner as traditional HDTVs, include a variety of features that help to blur the gap between a child-friendly tablet and a tablet the entire family can use, such as Smart TV functionality, a redesigned user experience, the ability to connect with home appliances, and HDMI inputs. The new additions to the Nabi family are expected to come with the latest version of the Android 5.0 operating system preinstalled and Fuhu’s own Blue Morpho shell, which has separate interfaces for parents and kids.

The smaller 32 and 42"  Nabi tablets will feature a 1080p screen, and run on the quad-core 2.3GHz Nvidia Tegra K1 processors with 2GB RAM, while the larger 55-inch and 65-inch models will come equipped with 4K displays, 4GB of RAM, and NVIDIA’s newly announced Tegra X1 chip.

“Go to your room” has never sounded like less of a threat, now that your kids can enjoy their tablet-surfing on a 65" screen.
