CES 2017: MSI VR ONE Backpack PC, 7th-Gen Intel® Processors, and NVIDIA GTX 1050

0Share

Following the release of Intel 7th-generation Kaby Lake processors, MSI has updated its gaming systems, including the VR ONE Backpack PC. Designed for an unrestricted VR experience, the VR ONE now features a 2.9 GHz Intel® Core™ i7-7820HK Quad-Core CPU, along with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card for mobile performance. It’s light, comfortable, and cool, so you’ll be able to immerse yourself in new worlds for hours. When power is low, simply switch out the hot-swappable batteries to continue on your journey. Moreover, its ports are located on the top side of the unit so you won’t have to deal with tripping hazards.

Aside from new processors, the updated gaming notebooks still offer powerful graphics cards, such as the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 alongside a mountain of RAM, with options for 4K or 120 Hz displays, NVMe SSDs, and LED backlighting. Power users should take a look at the 18.4" behemoth known as the GT83VR Titan SLI, which utilizes dual graphics cards for enhanced graphical performance, requiring two power adapters to be fully powered. For users searching for a more cost-effective system, there are select models with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card, but please note that the GTX 1050 is not VR ready and not recommended if you want a smooth VR experience.
