Are you tired of Wi-Fi dead spots? Tired of a slow wireless connection or the disappearing 5 GHz network? Well, eero has the solution, with the eero Wireless-AC Dual-Band Access Point. Available as a single access point, a two-pack, or a pack of three access points, the eero uses mesh networking technology to blanket your home or office in fast, secure, 802.11ac-compliant, dual-band Wi-Fi. The eero operates on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, allowing high-bandwidth activities, such as streaming multimedia content, transferring large files, and online gaming to be allocated to the faster, less congested 5 GHz frequency. In addition to dual-band connectivity, the eero also supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi standards, allowing nearly any Wi-Fi enabled device to connect to the network.
Getting started with the eero is simple—just plug it in to your cable or DSL modem and with the free eero app you can create a network name and password. The eero app, available for Android- and iOS-based mobile devices, not only allows you to configure your own personal Wi-Fi network, it allows you to add additional eero access points to the network, making it easy to expand coverage to your entire home or office. The app guides you through the setup of each new eero, offering placement tips to ensure all additional access points are positioned to provide optimal Wi-Fi coverage and performance. With multiple eero units installed on a single network, users can then hop from extender to extender without the hassle of connecting to separate SSIDs, thanks to built-in mesh networking technology.
Inside the eero Wireless-AC Dual-Band Access Point you will find a single 1.0 GHz dual-core processor, two 802.11ac Wi-Fi radios, and 5 antennae. With dual 802.11ac Wi-Fi radios, the eero is able to communicate with connected devices, as well as with other eero’s on the network simultaneously—all without slowing down the Wi-Fi connection to connected clients. Once configured, the eero requires no maintenance; it is capable of updating itself with both the latest firmware and security patches to ensure users receive optimal performance and enhanced security. Additionally, the eero supports guest network access and WPA2 encryption to keep unwanted intruders from accessing the network.
