A product undergoes hundreds, or maybe thousands, of changes as it evolves from imagination to a drawing, to a prototype, to a product for consumers. Yet, its journey is far from over. It must adapt in order for versions 2, 3, 4, and so on. Today, Microsoft unveiled the new Surface Go 2, Surface Book 3, Headphones 2, and Surface Earbuds, which are all available for preorder. As we face these challenging times together, many of us have also had to adapt to our new conditions. Whether it’s working from home, taking classes in a video call, or just connecting with friends and family, staying connected can be quite challenging without the proper tools.

Surface Go 2

Starting with the Surface Go 2, its new 10.5" display, backed by Gorilla Glass 3, features 1920 x 1280 resolution for clear Full HD pictures. Additionally, it supports 10-point multitouch for improved efficiency and ease of use. At this size, it weighs just 1.2 lb, measures 0.33" thick, and has a 10-hour battery life. A 5MP front-facing camera and dual Studio Mics help people stay in touch. On the flip side, the rear camera and the updated Camera app work together to let users scan documents and whiteboards. CPU options include Intel® Pentium Gold™ 4425Y and 8th-gen Core™ m3 processors, with either 4 or 8GB of RAM and up to 64GB eMMC or 128GB SSD storage. Combine this with a separately sold Type Cover for physical keys when it’s time to work and screen protection for when it’s not in use, as well as the Surface Pen for writing and drawing.

Surface Book 3

Users who need something more and possibly with up to desktop-like performance can check out the Surface Book 3. Available in 13.5" or 15" models, the Surface Book 3 is designed for work, gaming, and everything in between. Both options sport impressive multi-touch displays, with the 13.5" having 3000 x 2000 resolution and the 15" with 3240 x 2160. The screen is also detachable, allowing you to use it as needed. Configuration options include a Core™ i5 or Core™ i7 processor, up to 32GB of LPDDR4x RAM, 1TB/2TB of PCIe SSD storage, and integrated or dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q or GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q graphics. Models with NVIDIA Quadro RTX graphics will be available later for professional use. All previously mentioned Surface Go and Book devices are outfitted with next-gen Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB Type-C connectivity.

Surface Headphones 2

For when you’ve got a moment of peace, make sure it stays that way with the Surface Headphones 2. With improved fit, sound quality, battery life, and active noise cancellation, they’re sure to come in handy with the hustle and bustle of home life. If you’re looking for something less bulky, Surface Earbuds can help lessen the load with intuitive touch controls and Office apps integration. In addition to all that, Microsoft has also unveiled a few accessories, including a Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse Set, a USB Wired Ergonomic Keyboard and Mouse Set, a Mobile Mouse in varying colors, and even a USB Type-C Travel Hub.
