If you’ve been following along, you know how rare an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30-series graphics card is at this point. In fact, one of the only reliable ways to get one is to purchase a pre-built computer. Fortunately for you, MSI is updating its GS66 STEALTH, GE66 Raider, and GE76 Raider gaming laptops with RTX 3070 and 3080 graphics cards, along with a few other features. This allows you to forgo camping outside of stores and staring at stock tracking websites, to playing your favorite games.
Featuring a 10th Gen Intel® Core™ i7 8-core processor and 32GB of RAM, the MSI 15.6" GS66 STEALTH provides the performance you need. Depending on the model, you’ll get either a 1TB or a 2TB NVMe SSD, and either an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Max-Q or an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q graphics card. You’ll be able to enjoy your favorite PC games with ray-tracing and DLSS.
The 15.6" display features a Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution and a 300 Hz refresh rate, allowing you to play games at high frame rates. The 3 ms response time also helps to reduce input lag while paying fast-paced games, such as first-person shooters and fighting games. The GS66 STEALTH is also VR ready. In addition, it has a Thunderbolt™ 3 port, which has a throughput of 40 Gb/s. Depending on the model, you will get Windows 10 Home or Pro as the installed operating system.
If you’re looking to add a little color, both the MSI 15.6" GE66 Raider and the MSI 17.3" GE76 Raider come in a striking Titanium Blue finish. Both the GE66 and GE76 feature a 10th Gen Intel® Core™ i7 8-core processor, 32GB of RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. Depending on the model, Windows 10 Home or Pro comes preinstalled. Both the GE66 and the GE76 can either come with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 or 3080 graphics card, allowing you to take advantage of ray-tracing and DLSS. Both models are VR ready.
While most of the models come with a display that has Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution and 300 Hz refresh rate, there is a GE66 Raider model that comes with a display that features UHD 4K 3840 x 2160 resolution and 60 Hz refresh rate. The 4K display model also has 100% Adobe color gamut.
All the models come with Wi-Fi 6E, which provides all the benefits of Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), but now utilizes the 6 GHz band. There’s also Bluetooth 5.2 technology for connecting to compatible devices wirelessly. They also all feature the SteelSeries RGB keyboard. We know that the RTX 30-series graphics cards are hard to come by, but MSI made it a bit easier with the updates to the GS66 STEALTH and the GE66 and GE76 Raider models.

The ARGB compliance is nice, but wasted on a graphics card that doesn't have the same gamut capability?
Maybe that might not matter to most but I did some search engine diving finding specs for color correction work in 2016. What I found indicated only workstation cards could support wide gamuts for correction work flows (photo & cine), as far as I know it hasn't changed.
I do wonder when LED screens will catch up with the modern world and support something like Rec 2020.
So what you are saying is nothing has changed? You still have to buy a prebuilt computer?
Unfortunately the NVIDIA 30-series GPUs are scarce (we really want to get some to our customers!) and computers like the ones announced here are a more reliable way to find one. To be fair, these are mobile versions in laptops, so not quite the same thing as the full-fledged desktop cards which are so hard to find.
Consumers are likely to not see sufficient supply numbers for the current RTX3 until the next gen RTX is released. So whomever is able to make it to market with a competing product (ahem! AMD) at a fair price regardless of whether it outperforms is likely to be the winner.
