A coterie of new Wacom devices just landed at B&H. Two sizes of Wacom One pen tablets were announced, along with a 12-inch Wacom One pen display and a 13.3-inch Wacom One touch display.
Available in white, the new Wacom One pen tablet comes in two size variations: medium and small. The Wacom One S (for small) features a 6.0 x 3.7-inch active area, while the One M offers 8.5 x 5.3 inches. Both variants are compact and ultra-portable.
Size notwithstanding, the new pen tablets are otherwise identical. Both are entry-level devices aimed at the abecedarian. Creatives who are just getting started on their digital journey can use the Wacom One to draw, paint, edit photos and images, and much more.
The plug-and-play pen tablet is easy to set up and comes with everything you need to get started, including a cordless, two-button stylus with 4K pressure sensitivity, access to free software, and training.
Like the pen tablets, the new Wacom One pen displays also come in different sizes. The Wacom One 12 features an 11.6-inch Full HD screen with a 10.1 x 5.7-inch active area, while the slightly larger Wacom One 13 Touch offers a 13.6-inch Full HD touchscreen with an 11.6 x 6.5-inch active area.
Both displays feature a 60 Hz IPS panel that supports 99% coverage of the sRGB color gamut. However, the Wacom One 13 Touch’s screen is slightly brighter and has a marginally higher contrast ratio.
Of course, the biggest difference between the Wacom One 12 and One 13 Touch is that the latter supports touchscreen functionality, which can help streamline your workflow, depending on the project.
Screen differences aside, the new pen displays are functionally very similar. Both offer a natural, pen-to-paper experience and come with Wacom’s standard 4K pen. Likewise, both models are easy to carry, easy to set up, offer versatile connectivity, and are compatible with most operating systems, including Windows, Mac, Android, and (in most regions) Chrome.
