You'll Be on Cloud Nine with The Kwilt2 & Kwilt3 Personal Cloud Hubs

As convenient as cloud storage is, it’s not perfect. Your data is generally stored off-site, which can lead to privacy concerns, and you have to pay monthly fees. On top of that, storage size has a limit. If you want more storage, you have to pay more, which can certainly be frustrating. To help combat this, Kwilt has introduced an alternative to cloud storage with its Kwilt2 and Kwilt3 Personal Cloud Hubs. These devices combine the convenience of cloud storage with the privacy and flexibility of home storage. There are no monthly storage fees or storage limits, because Kwilt allows you to expand your storage space as needed using USB flash drives or multi-drive arrays. Furthermore, you can back up your mobile photos and videos while on the go and access your stored content from virtually anywhere using your phone, tablet, or PC. These same devices can also be used to share content stored on your Kwilt via email, text, or a shared hyperlink. The Kwilt is also made for storing content from your DSLR, drone, or GoPro, because it has a built-in SD card slot.

Since there are two models of the Kwilt, which is best for you? That will depend on your needs, so let’s take a look at each one. While each model offers the same overall functionality, their specs differ, aside from one USB 2.0 Type-A input port, an SD/SDHC/SDXC card reader, and an HDMI video output that supports Ultra HD video at resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 fps.

If you’re looking for power and speed, don’t hesitate to buy the Kwilt3. It’s powered by a 1.5 GHz Quad-Core processor and a 750 MHz 5-Core GPU. There is one USB 3.0 Type-A and two USB 2.0 Type-A ports for connecting storage devices. Content from your mobile devices is transferred using dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), or for wired connectivity, use the Gigabit Ethernet port. As a bonus, a 32GB USB 3.0 flash drive is included.

If you’re a more low-key user who doesn’t need all the bells and whistles of the Kwilt3, then the Kwilt2 may be for you. It features a 1.2 GHz Quad-Core processor, a 600 MHz Quad-Core GPU, three USB 2.0 Type-A ports for connecting storage, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n), and 100 Mb/s Fast Ethernet. Included is a 16GB USB 2.0 flash drive.
