This is a shot of the the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates come together in Iceland. It's the only place where these tectonic plates can be seen on land, and you can walk between them. And while they look amazing from the ground, an aerial view shows just how massive this crack in the earth looks. Note the automobile road to the right of the photo. The right half of the crack is in this photo is the Eurasian plate and the left half is the North American plate. The plates move apart at approximately 2.5 centimeters a year has they have for thousands of years. This was shot just outside of Thingvellir National Park. Shot with the Phantom 4 Pro.
