I always imagine myself as a safe, secure, and highly unadventurous individual. Which is why when I was traveling the far reaches of western China, doing things I never would have imagined, I realized I had gone through a personality shift during the trip and wanted to capture a self portrait that reflected that. When I first took the picture, I realized quickly that the raw photo wasn't going to convey my new found spontaneity and thirst for excitement.

So I turned to post processing.
