The foreground image was taken at sunrise at a nearby park. A 90mm f2.8 macro lens was used to photograph a small section of tall grass with the sun rising behind it. The focal distance for this photo was around 12 inches. Bright sunlight made the background appear very foggy which in turn gave me the idea for this composite image. I used a photo I previously took of a small bird sunning itself at the top of a nearby tree in the same park. The image was shot with a 210mm f/4.5-6.3 zoom lens. The bird's image was used as the mid ground photo. Finally, I used another photo I took at a local zoo. The image was of a Bengal Tiger photographed with the same 210mm f/4.5-6.3 zoom lens. A portion of the tiger's photo was used to create the background (distant) image within the composite. The idea was to create the illusion of a tiger looming nearby in the fog watching the small bird sunning itself in the grass.
