I needed some work to hang on the walls of a local bank and finally had a day to go out. I got up really early to spend the day driving but unfortunately it was raining. The rain broke as the sun came up and I got some beautiful sunrise photos. The mist was still clinging thickly to parts of the mountain in the afternoon so I got this shot later in the day too. I picked up a few leaves from the side of the road and threw them into the road to add foreground interest. I particularly liked the way the road lines and curves worked out to follow the rule of thirds to an eye-pleasing vanishing point. Editing was in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
