The spot caught my eye as we got into camp and quickly after getting settled I took out my gear and got to work taking photos along this stream as it fed into the lake. The haze due to forest fires was an issue over the entire week, better on some days however when this was taken the wind had begun picking up again and with the wind came the haze. We had been hiking all day and only had a small window where light was still hitting the mountain in the background only having enough time to get one exposure worth editing. While the light was good it was still quite a bit off from what I had hopped to capture. In addition to the challenges presented by the haze muting much of the background, a week in the hiking around the park had left quite a few specks on my sensor which were not noticed until I had gotten home. The filters used to attempt to cut down the haze as well as create movement to the creak while reducing the chaos of the waves over the lake created a need to crop down the photo slightly. Overall I am very happy with how it turned out and the final print being much more like I remember it than the original un-edited photo.
