Searching for wildlife in failing light at dusk, I was trading off exposure for sharpness in low light and at a distance, when I came around a turn in the trail and this beautiful buck standing there for just a few seconds. I got the capture but it took a lot of carefully balanced level adjusting, color balancing and noise control to extract this image from a much darker exposure than I had intended. Overall though, one of the most rewarding photos I have ever shot.
