As a structural engineer I enjoy unusual structural designs. As a photographer I enjoy photographing unusual structures. The Calatrava is such a structure as part of the structure moves to open and close. The first photo (before photo) is the start of the closing. The final photo is a composite of 10 photos overlaid showing start to finish of the closing of the structure. Photo were taken at sunset. Photoshop was used to overlay the images. The sky in the background was adjusted using masking, filters, color and curve adjustments. All photos were shot in RAW on a Nikon D800 with Tamron 24-70 mm lens.
