Every year the Italian community of Williamsburg, Brooklyn celebrate "The Giglio," an ancient tradition they brought from Nola in South Italy. They build a 6.5-story tower that weighs 4 tons, and lift and carry it around the perimeter of the Church Of Our Lady Of Mount Carmel, as a sign of their devotion to the saint.
