It was my first visit to Botswana and I was in heaven. I started Wildlife photography 4 years ago. During this particular safari we were informed that a pride of lions was starting their morning hunt. As we drove up to the pride, the matriarch stared in a distance and started walking right by our jeep staring intently at something. I grabbed my 5d3 +100-400mm and had to zoom out to get the queen in the shot. For processing I wanted to get the viewers attention to the intensity of her gaze, so I converted to B&W and using levels and layers, removed the BG.
