I took several long exposure shots along the shore of Loch Ness that evening, but this is one of my favorites. I just love the line of rocks in the foreground. It was getting pretty dark by this time; I was losing a lot of color in the sky and the rocks were pretty much black in the original photo, so I wasn't sure how the post-processing would turn out. My first edit of the photo turned out okay, but about a year later I decided to re-visit the photo and try again, as I then had more experience with editing. I was able to play with the curves enough to bring out the rocks more without it getting too grainy, as well as make the sky pop a bit more using Dehaze in Lightroom. Although it is still a bit grainy, due to how dark the original photo was, I'm extremely happy with the second edit!
