I often get excited about photographing destinations and locations that I've never been too. That thrill and adventure is a large part of my creative process and fuels my early morning alarm clock rituals. Having a drone really allows you to change your perspective and explore your local community in a way you couldn't do before. I live in Waterford VA which is surrounded by farmland and the Blue Ridge mountains. During a fall sunset this Lone Tree at sunset is intended to capture the peace and slow pace of the area, along with the gorgeous light from golden hour. For aerial photography it's easy to have too much in your image and loose the subject. In this image I was focusing on having the lone tree and light be the subject to try and capture the peace and calmness in the evening.
