This was my first time being a part of a large scale modeling shoot. This image was one of the first images I took of a model named Evie Kalmar and it is one of my favorites to date. I love surreal, dark imagery so I was ecstatic when her friend asked if we wanted to borrow her snake. I'm very drawn to closeup facial expressions. Much like old paintings, I can get lost staring at a subject's expression. I shot this with my favorite lens, the Sigma 85mm 1.4 Art on a Nikon D750. I used a Westcott 26in Rapidbox and a flash fitted with a Rogue speed grid. All of the touching up was done in Adobe Lightroom.
