The before image represents one of three images that were selected and focus stacked to be able to increase the depth of field of this macro image that was shot using a 180mm lens at f8. The after image was created by selecting and masking out the flower from the garden, then finding the right combination of three different textures to put behind the flower. The most challenging part of the editing process was refining the flower mask and deciding on the best feathering to use for the edges of the flower so that it would blend in naturally with the background.
