The image was shot RAW with no custom color balance as I knew I would be selecting the color and saturation later. Our young model was being photographed in advance of her Bat Mitzvah, so the goal was to give her a mature look while keeping true to the innocence of being twelve. We had missed the fall colors, so I added the warmth of the fall to the image in post. I used a combination of Lightroom for the initial Raw to Jpeg conversion, and then Photoshop for the editing. The reflection was enhanced with the goal of maintaining the "second read" intent. The only facial modification was the bringing in of the jowel that resulted from a nervous gritting of the teeth.
