One of the top places to visit in New Mexico, Shiprock is visible 50 miles in any direction. Though the local Diné (Navajo) call it Tsé Bit’a’í which means 'rock that has wings', long before the name Shiprock was ever given. Taken south of the monument facing north from an altitude of about 300 feet, just as the sun was setting in October 2018.
