Scott Cook

I shoot with a Sony a6300 because I can't afford anything else more expensive. I have a strong appreciation for my city, Washington, DC and I find myself being a "local tourist" often.

This shot was a coincidence for coming out to see the early buds of the Cherry Blossoms that were at risk of being damaged by the unusually cold frost that came by in late March. I was hoping to get some snow kissed blossom photos but realized the seagulls came out to the Tidal Basin to accrue some of the warmth that the basin had stored from the previous days.

I really do love this photo. It is my favorite actually. Hopefully you enjoy it as well.
