Initially, I liked seeing a group of zebras advancing and splashing in the water. My first editing step was to crop the image and adjust the exposure, color, etc. using Adobe Lightroom. Then I changeed it to B&W. Then high contrast B&W. Next I used the adjustment brush to eliminate one of the zebras by blackening the background. Finally, I exported the image into Photoshop and used the Oil Paint Filter to create the final image.
This whole process from start to finish was iterative. I did not visualize the final image when I began. And when I look back on it, and what I started out with, I've pleasently surprised myself what I ended up with. This is one of my personal favorites.
