Ken Zaner

I took this on the Long Island sound while on the New London-Orient point ferry. I have always found great picture opportunities during the trip. There are about 6 beautiful lighthouses on the sound and the ocean and land can have great lighting effects. I took this in December on a cold somewhat choppy day. There had been a rainstorm which was clearing, and now the sun was peaking through what was left of the black clouds with beams coming down, brilliant patches of blue in the sky and bright reflections on the water. Unfortunately the camera did not see what I was seeing which is why I turned to photoshop for help. I tried to bring out all of the elements of the scene with adjustment layers and layer masks so that the picture would agree with what I was seeing. I hope the viewers think I was successful.
