My girlfriend and I went to explore the New York Botanical Garden one Sunday afternoon. It’s located in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the Bronx. Needless to say, we enjoyed it immensely. It’s like getting lost in a completely different world full of tranquility and nature. You truly appreciate the peace and quiet that’s the complete opposite of the noise and endless activity of the city streets.

Suddenly, we came upon this vantage point and to me it felt like here was the Haupt Conservatory building in the middle of the garden helping with the conservation of so many different plants and trees just like in a bigger sense the Botanical Garden and all these people are helping conserve the same things in the middle of a bustling city.

Also, it was like stepping out of our long walk “lost” in the wilderness and finally coming across a modern building and emerging back to modern times. It’s the same feeling you get when you finally go home and exit the Botanical Garden. It’s two different worlds co-existing with each other.

That was my inspiration for taking this photograph.
