Just returned from a 2-week trip to Yosemite, Kings Canyon/Sequoia, and Death Valley National Parks. I wasn't sure what to expect in Death Valley, but I was gobsmacked by it desolate beauty and can't wait to return. This photograph was taken at sunset looking south from Zabriskie Point on Tuesday Oct 10, 2017. It was shot with a Canon 5D Mark III using an EF 70-200mm f2.8L IS USM lens (settings: ISO 200, 70mm, f/5.0, 1/80th sec.) and edited in Lightroom and further using Topaz Clarity.
