Often times it is very difficult to make the ideas in my head come to life, which is why for my pictures I need to use Photoshop. I wanted to challenge myself to use the editing processes that would relate the theme of tranquility and nature, especially since we live in such a large urban area. I felt as though if I could incorporate edits that evoked a feeling of tranquility in the onlooker using Photoshop edits, I would be sharing my love of nature and demonstrating how a skilled photographer can create any allusion she wants. To me, this picture demonstrates that nature is universal, and the lightnings represent unity. I love creating little worlds in my photos and watching them come to life with editing, and with the help of technology I was able to create this picture.
