In this composite, the foreground and background plates were photographed at the same time and location to achieve consistent lighting. The adorable young girl was positioned on a ladder to clear her from the tall grass. To encourage a more convincing body posture and facial expression, she pulled on a rope lowered by an assistant. Multiple shots of the balloons were combined to form a sizable bouquet. Then, dramatic clouds were added. Finally, subtle 3D LUT color toning was applied to the composited image to support the whimsical concept.
