The sun was still a bit high in the sky so the bright sunset colors had not begun yet. I under exposed so I could work with the sky. I knew the color was there I just needed to bring it out. Underexposing for the sky meant the foreground was really dark. So that needed lots of work too. This image would have been a good candidate for HDR but I chose not to do that. I was using ON1 Photo RAW to edit.
