This photograph of my grandmother's sister was all that was left of her after WWII. The same was true for most on that side of my family. I've been slowly restoring the small collection of images with which my grandmother escaped Poland. Most of their stories were lost with their lives, but these restorations are my attempt to make sure their images, at least, will not be forgotten.
