About a week before Christmas 2016, I spotted a discount on the Sony a6000 with the 18-105mm kit lens. I'd never taken "real" photographs before but had always wanted to try it. Six weeks after putting my money down on that kit, I stumbled across this amazing sunset near my home in northern Colorado. I've gained some better gear and a lot more experience over the past year, but this image that got me hooked on landscape photography is still one of my favorite images.
