The original photo was missing the essence of what it was like to experience this place at the time. Looking at the original photo, it was a bit under exposed and flat. In order to evoke the feeling of cooler weather, I made adjustments to the temperature, contrast and exposure. Along with the dodge and burn tools, I was able to refine details to the foreground, middle ground and background, allowing for more depth. Overall, the goal was to keep the image naturally balanced, while reaching the desired experience of the photo.
