Expanding its C1PU smart television series, LG has added an 83" model to its ranks. Like the rest of the series, it’s a great choice for gamers, with features like Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), and a partnership with NVIDIA certifying it as compatible with G-SYNC; FreeSync technology is also supported. Sports fans will appreciate Sports Alert, which provides updates, start times, and scores for your favorite games across the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, Premier League, and more.
Movie fans will enjoy Filmmaker Mode, which turns off motion-enhancement effects, displaying the movie with the aspect ratio, color, and frame rate that the director intended. Support for three HDR formats—HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision—enable rich, vibrant color with compatible content. Taking that one step further, Dolby Vision IQ adjusts picture settings based on the genre of your content and the lighting conditions in your room to maximize your immersion. Additionally, with the OLED panel’s self-illuminating pixels, the TV creates deep black levels, with each of its more than 8 million pixels unaffected by surrounding pixels, creating sharper, more accurate images and a virtually infinite contrast ratio.
The onboard α9 Gen4 AI Processor 4K uses sophisticated algorithms to analyze your content and optimize it; AI Picture Pro helps reduce image artifacts; and Scene Detection analyzes the specific type of scene, further improving picture quality.
When it comes to becoming immersed in your content, audio quality is just as important as picture quality, so AI Sound Pro does for audio what AI Picture Pro does for video, identifying voices, effects, and more to optimize the audio based on your content’s genre. Auto Volume Leveling helps keep voice levels consistent across different content types. Dolby Atmos provides multidimensional surround sound with compatible content to help you feel like you’re in the center of the action. If you have a compatible soundbar or home theater system, eARC over HDMI will enable Dolby Atmos audio from the TV’s apps to pass through to your sound system for a truly immersive audio/video experience.
The C1PU series comprises smart TVs powered by the LG ThinQ AI operating system, providing access to the LG Content Store for app downloads via Wi-Fi or Ethernet connectivity. You can control the TV via the Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, or Siri with compatible devices. The included Magic Remote Control provides point, click, scroll, and voice control with Intelligent Voice Recognition.
