Introducing the New Epson EpiqVision 3600-Lumen Smart Home Theater Projector

0Share

Epson recently announced that the white EpiqVision Ultra LS300 home theater projector will be released to join its black counterpart, which is already available. The LS300 features an ultra-short-throw ratio that can project images up to 120 from just 15.2" away, or 61" images from 1" away. This ultra-short-throw design makes it easy to achieve large-screen projection in areas where you can’t ceiling-mount a projector, such as basements with low ceilings. The short throw ratio also helps mitigate shadows caused by passers-by, whether they’re people or pets.

Video Quality

The projector has a native Full HD resolution and can accept HDR10 and HLG signals, as well as 4K UHD content to provide enhanced video quality when used with compatible source devices and content. Its 3600 lumens of color and white brightness allows it to overcome ambient light in many home settings, including living rooms and bedrooms, and the 1,500,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio helps ensure that details can be seen in dark scenes. The projector’s laser light source is designed to last up to 20,000 hours, offering years of entertainment.

Smart Functionality

The onboard Android TV operating system provides smart TV functionality, including streaming apps like Hulu, HBO, Disney+, YouTube, and more. The Google Assistant is built in to provide simple voice control and voice search. Chromecast built in lets you cast popular apps wirelessly from your compatible smartphone, tablet, or computer directly to the projector. The projector’s smart functionality is powered by onboard Wi-Fi connectivity.

Sound Features

A Yamaha-designed stereo speaker system is onboard, providing 10W of quality stereo audio. If you prefer to use your own home theater or soundbar system, one HDMI input is ARC-compatible, allowing audio from the projector’s apps to be sent out to your system for a simpler, less cluttered installation; alternatively, you could use the optical output to connect to your sound system. Bluetooth connectivity is also built in, so you can stream audio from your compatible device to the projector wirelessly.

Bottom Line

The EpiqVision Ultra LS300 would make a great addition to nearly any home, thanks to its ultra-short-throw design, high brightness level, Full HD native resolution, HDR10 and HLG compatibility, Android TV operating system with the Google Assistant built in, and the onboard Yamaha stereo speaker system.
