NEC recently unveiled two new 4K UHD commercial TVs, the 55" E557Q and the 65" E657Q. Both feature 4K UHD 3840 x 2160 native resolution and output up to 350 cd/m² of brightness, with a 4000:1 contrast ratio, making them well suited for use in storefronts. Direct LED backlighting helps reduce their power consumption and localized dimming helps to further enhance the contrast ratio.
These TVs sportseveral signage-centric features, including a built-in USB media player (which obviates the need for a connected computer), a 24-hour on/off timer, and an integrated Ethernet LAN port for control over IP. Built-in closed captioning helps convey your message if the two onboard 10W speakers can’t be used or heard.
You can connect a variety of sources to the E557Q and the E657Q with their VGA, combination component/composite video, and three HDMI inputs; an HDMI cable is included for instant connectivity. An onboard tuner lets you show HD over-the-air broadcast programming with just an antenna.
The TVs can be controlled remotely with the included remote control, over a LAN with Crestron Connected software, or via HDMI with CEC compatibility and other compliant equipment.
